Bulbs are good, checked all fuses good. dashlights work.
I have a check engine light, but figure it is the o2 sensor, but could that make my tail lights not come on? Anyone know for certain the location of a 97 outback tailight fuse? My box cover is missing.
HELP!

i have brake lights.
I am going to have to pull the interior next week do a heater core and stereo install and will chase it down then. There is a break between the fuse and the tailights, and by having the panels off to dynamat the car I will have access to all of the plugs and connectors ( my 1st thought is one is corroded) or else maybe a wire got pinched behind the fuse box when I last installed the fusebox.

You have brake lights but no illumination when your headlights are on?
Or you have no backup/reverse lights?

Brake lights work, no rear side markers or tail lights, filements are all ok, fuse 5 is good.

"tail lights" - which ones are out? All the lights in the rear of the car are tail-lights.
DO YOU HAVE REVERSE/BACKUP LIGHTS?

THanks for the pics!
Yes the front parks work. I am sure there is corrosion in a plug in the chassis.

FOUND IT! My 6-5 18 yr olds big feet must have unplugged one of the multi function switch plugs. All is well now. Thanks so much for those that helped!
