Car doesn't start after short trips?

Well just as the thread states. When I start the car in the morning I'll drive about 5-10miles go fill up with gas and when I go to start it the car does not start again until the temp reaches under a quarter. It's not like this all the time but every once in a while. I had replaced my Spark Plugs, Wire, Filter. Still the same. Has anyone experienced this before?
Car is a 96 Legacy L Wagon 2.2

But like I said it's random sometimes. Sometimes it will start quick without the engine cooling down and sometimes it needs the car to cool almost all the way down. Plus sometimes my car dies on me if I go on long trips and the car cannot die since I don't stop. But once I come to the first stop light off of the highway it dies sometimes.

-instant shut off?
-sputtering idle then off?
