It really depends on what you want to do, do you have auto, manual, do you want auto, manual?

well i currently have a manual tranny and want to keep it that way. i know almost nothing about tranny's lol so i'm just trying to figure out what'll fit. i dont really ever plan to pass 300 hp in this car so anything that can handle that i want to take a look at.

Does the Legacy Turbo have a hydraulic or cable clutch setup? WRX is hydraulic so that might add complexity of the current setup is cable. Also you have to make sure your final drive matches your rear differential - so you may need the rear diff out of the WRX donor car too.

What's wrong with your current tranny? It may be easier to just swap out the gearset. you can go with something strong like the RA gearset.

The turbo Legacy is a hydraulic clutch. No issues there.

A WRX trans is going to require a 3.545 ring and pinion in back, or the whole diff swapped out to get that ratio.

RA gearsets are not worth the money or the cost of labor for installing them. An '05+ WRX trans has the same width of gears anyways. Mfactory or PPG gears are the only ones to consider if you are going that route. An '04 or '05 6mt could be installed for less coin though.
