Bike in the Trunk of a BD?

Has anyone ever put a mountain bike in the trunk of their BD? I was thinking one might fit with the seats folded down in the trunk.

It does fit, but you have to really do some wrestling with it.

I thought I may have to. Taking off the front tire probably helps a bit.

My road bike fits with the rear seat folded down and the front tire taken off.

I remove my front wheel/tire and fold down the seats. My full suspension mountainbike fits easily and just fine.

No, but I saw a civic going down the freeway with a dirt bike strapped on top of the trunk leaned against the back window once :shock:
