wrx 6 CD changer in BD?

my cd players on the fritz and theres like literaly like 20 people almost giving there CD changers away on nasioc so would it fit? is it plug and play?

I know the 02 changer will fit, not sure about the 06.

yes it is plug and play.
it fits right in perfectly.

i just did the swap into my bd from an 02-04 wrx. the bracket just moves right over.

it took me at most 15 minutes to do. you hsould be fine. pm me if you need help or anything.

edit* when i said the bracket moves right over i mean my stock one did.. assuming you dont have some other kind of bracket for an aftermarket radio.

while we're on this topic, I've heard the newer ones with the aux input (07 and up maybe?) won't fit cause they're just a little too big. Anyone verify this?

i wanted one with the aux input but people want like $100 bucks for them I'm guna get an 04 for $40 shipped

the only difference is IIRC is the 06+ deck area in depth is 13/32 (8 13/32")bigger than the older legacys. (8")

hokay so additional question about this head unit....

how does the oem subwoofer that goes under the passenger seat hook up to this?

i know there is a clip under the passenger seat, but does is that just an extension cord for the hookup in the rear of the headunit..? i know theres an extra hookup on the back left when looking at it from the back...

im guessing thats for a sub.?
