Ok I've already emailed this to some folks; however with the mass flood of PM's I thought I'd have this posted. Thanks to iON Performance for hosting the pictures.
You need to disconnect the connectors leading from the silver rectangular box (sitting below the Denso sensor on the RHS strut tower), to the firewall.

Pretty sure USDM cars have DRLs on the 2nd gens, and I'm guessing the "flood of PMs" aren't from SL-i members...TorontoSubarus maybe?

Huffer - from the TSC & NASIOC. Especially for HID conversions & JDM headlight conversions.

DRL= Daytime Running Light it keeps your headlight on low power during the day

So I disconnected that plug as shown, but my DRL's still come on. Is there another step that I am missing?

I'm confused... what is the point of this? the headlight stalk control already lets you turn the markers on/off (notch 1) or markers+headlights (notch 2).
if the point is to disable the marker lights altogether, i guess i dont see the point of that... maybe someone can enlighten me

Canadians had DRLs as factory on their cars. USDM not.
