I have a BE, an 00 Sedan, and I've unfortunatly (or fortunatly) beat on it a little bit. I've messed up the front bumper pretty good, I hit a boulder head on (and won). The boulder took more damage than my car did, but I still ripped it loose, it's only held on using plastic break-away screws. The bottom mounts are bent, and not connected anymore. I also hit a tree (well, the branches), which has messed up my hood, roof, and right side doors, as well as my right mirror.

On top of that, I just recently hit a few bushes, which dented and creased both doors on the right, as well as taking paint off and cracking it in several places. :(

So, question #1... Would it be possible for me to find an Outback sedan, pull it's entire body, bumpers, roof, doors, and hood, and put them on my Legacy? Or should I pull the door panels, pop them back out, massage them into their original shape, and get it all repainted? I'm going to clearcoat the exposed metal, until I can get a touch up kit.

perhaps a jeep with a brushguard is in your future. jk.

i have no idea of whats compatible with the BE's.

not sure about the replacing the entire body but dont take this the wrong way or anything but it seems like you hit ALOT of things so why spend money on fixing something that your probably gonna mess up agian unless you did these things while rallying then that would explain why you hit so many branches and bushes lol

Yeah, I did it while on logging roads. :p I'm buying a vehicle (a beater) with which I will be taking to the logging roads from now on. ;) So, I'm going to fix my car, and drive it as normal.

BE outbacks are pretty rare (if they even made them). Youd probably have better luck finding a Baja, even though theyre pretty rare too. Plus the fact you need to find one with a perfect body. That would be a feat even for just a normal BE.

Youre going about this all the wrong way, and the expensive way at that. If you know what youre doing with the metal then massage it out. Otherwise dont waste your time and take it to a bodyshop (the price wont be different if you do it poorly or not at all)

(if they even made them).

Huh?

Yeah, all outback stuff should be compatible, but it would be cheaper to fix the existing stuff.

2000-2004 Sedan Outbacks are pretty rare. Ive never seen one before, but after a bit of research I guess they did make them.

Yeah, maybe I can massage the door panels back into place, or at least get them looking decent. I worked at a Saturn dealership, and the guy who did dent repairs on our used cars showed me exactly how he did his magic.

Actually, yesterday, I saw a 2001 Outback Sedan H6. I really liked it, made me want one really bad. :( Too bad the H6 only comes with an Auto.

I guess I'll just find a new front bumper and do the doors myself.
