View Full Version : Group Buy Ideas

I wanted to put together a group buy for you guys and really not sure what to do. If any of you are interested in getting certain parts post up in this thread. Obviously majority wins, so try to keep it on low cost parts so more can join in. My aftermarket selection isn't large so lets try to keep it to the basics. A few idea I can toss out is HID kits, Group A parts, MSD coil pack etc...

depending on what the price gets down to, I might be in for a group buy on the HID kits.

Either pulley kits or endlinks... maybe even a GB on Hella supertones...

Reason

The group A endlinks are all the same price, so I would offer their line up. So most subarus will be covered.

STi Group N Engine Mounts and Tranny Mount.

Also want/need some new suspensions, just given up hope on getting legacy parts, need to decide on what wrx/impreza stuff to get, nothing to crazy or low, just sporty and comfortable for about 600 or less...

Reason
02-14-2009, 07:19 PM
I can't get STi stuff, I could probably do a H&R spring set GB. But seeing how that whiteline went by another member I doubt I'll try it.

I'd get a set of H&R's.

I still think swaybar endlinks are a good one to shoot for. So many of us chase the swaybar mod and forget to upgrade or max out the budget before we get the endlinks done.

I'm guilty, I have a sweet 24mm RSB and the plastic flexible endlinks.

Reason

Endlinks seem like the most logical at this point.

I know Jegs had a good deal on MSD and cheaper with quantity, maybe check that out. I'd be interested in end links if that came up again, also those Gimmick hood dampers from. viewtopic.php?f=39&t=19214 (http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=19214)

Wondering if anyone would be interested in a group buy for Dimple magnetic drain plugs? These are made of steel not aluminum and has a wicked strong magnet. I will be the only aftermarket supplier offering these plugs.

Hey Shane,
I was doing some searching, and remembered a couple years ago you had the ability to get Gauge overlays for our cars - 3rd gen, is there anyway to get these anymore or set up a group buy to get some made, if there still produced.????

Reason

No not anymore at this time.

Reason

So I would have around 4 people interested. I will try other sites as well.

Price break down would be

Some places charge $115 PLUS shipping
My sale price is $115 shipped
1-9 $110
10-19 $105 shipped
20+ $95 shipped!!!

I don't care if you get friends and family in on this. As long Techna-fit makes the lines and it's only a 4 line kit the price is the same

Stromung second gen mid-pipes sense they discontinued them, I called Boxer4 a while ago and they said they need an order of 10 to make them but idk what they would do if they had orders for other stuff like 7 or 8 if they were full catbacks or other cars or something.

Reason

I dont want anything to do with stromung.

UEL headers, wire harness plug and play for JDM BE/BH headlights, or the hellatones. If we did the hellas which is where this seems to be going, will there be any color choices since I was considering getting a white pair if possible.

I think when Randymarsh has time, I think a carbon fiber radiator shroud for 2nd gens would be awesome! I have a few other ideas for carbon fiber products as well.

If he's interested, I can maybe help with R&D on my end... I have early and late style 2nd gens at my fingers.
