Enjoy, I was a bit too lazy to link to the individual images.

EDIT: New pics Below:
STi Seats and carpet installed. Front seats = direct bolt on. Back seats = need to do some mods to fit them correctly. Should be easy compared to the carpet.

Here are the Tein S-Techs for the '04-05 wrx installed on my legacy.
Ingredients: Set of Tein S-Techs, REAR TOPHATS/STRUT MOUNTS from a 2005 2.5RS The strut mounts have the exact same mounting bolts and spacing for the rear, and the legacy top hats just will not fit the springs right.

These sit the car really low, and I'm addressing the rubbing in the front (surprisingly none in the rear. The L bumper keeps my front end high enough to clear stuff.

Thats a cool buggy you have on that site. It must be pretty quick considering its probably 1/4 the weight of a legacy!

I have heard that subies make great dune buggies.

Nice LSi man. I wish my parents had gotten an LSi when they bought my current subaru back in fall of 94. Just an L w/ the outback extras.

lol, i like the packers, does that make me a cheeze head too?

Dave, you're back! Where ya been? It's great that another person likes the packers too :-D

Quick question. I couldn't tell if you drive an auto or a manual, so I'll ask. Have you found any inexpensive short throws for the 95. The 95 is different than the other 2nd gens, its the same as the 93 and 94 shifters. (If you drive an auto, disregard this) I wish I had an LSi....but we just went for the L.

I've been busy working, i got 3 jobs. I do drive an auto, i thought about a tranny swap, but i have more pressing mechanical and cosmetic problems with my legacy.

Sorry, no clue about where to get a short throw shifter.

:-D but i'm back.

I know that RalliTek has that definitely. I stumbled across it looking for a front-mount light bar on my legacy. here's the URL:

Alright, Here are the most recent pics of my daily driver, autocross machine, offender of girlfriend, and chief money pit:

Upstate NY Subaru Owner's Club. I think I have the oldest Subaru.
http://www.cs.sunyit.edu/~trifard/images/SLi/legacy01web.jpg

These wheels may look familiar, I recently got them from Aussiedan. The tires are Hankook RS2's of the 205/55/ZR16 flavor. Rims are from a GC 2.5RS that Dan stripped and repainted gunmetal. The lugs are Ebayed Motegi Spline-drives. Behind the wheels sit the EBC Greenstuff pads.

Side shot...man she looks good when she is clean.
http://www.cs.sunyit.edu/~trifard/images/SLi/legacy04web.jpg

Here's the whole car. The only part in my inventory not installed is the '04 STi wing. I may only install the bottom half, but something's going on the back.

mmmm. Nice & clean. Your paint looks very healthy. Sweet ride.

I'm going to be putting on RS 5 spokes on my Ruby Mica as well.

Nice! Where did you get the subaru colored emblem from?
I took the stock black one off with a blow dryer and knife, and used fine sandpaper to sand the black part until it was clear. Then i mixed up testor's model paint: "engine red", "flat black" and "gloss white", all acrylic. I applied a few coats and let it dry over the course of a day. I threw some double-sided tape back on, and stuck it back into the grille. I eyeballed the paint match as best I could--I bet Subaru touch-up paint would be great to color match your badge.

Peugoby, what color are your 5-spokes going to be?

odd...

the color in the first pic is SO striking and awesome, but at distance, it's not nearly.

maybe you need to take some sunny shots

Sun....in Utica...ahahahaaa....surely you jest. When I'm back in Albany for the summer, I'll get some better pics.

And Dan, the one dry day we had, the RS2's were VERY entertaining. I've been pinned down for a few days with snow, slush, and heavy rains  . Compliments have been free-flowing from a lot of the students here, about the wheel/paint combo. Thanks again for your help, hospitality, and patience.

I have the Gorilla version of those lugs. The only thing I hate is when they stick so damn far out. Car looks good though.

Is it a stock WRX catback? If so don't bother. It doesn't sound good and it whistles. You can see my soundclips in the soundclip thread. You can however mount a different muffler there, and atleast you'll have SS mandrel bent piping.

The plan is to put a different muffler on after winter. It was free, and is getting mounted for the price of a 12 pack, I coudn't say no :-).

And thanks for the comments guys.

Looks nice Dave. It is definetely lower than my Mica Ruby, especially in the back. What do you think of the S-Techs? I've heard they have a similar spring rate to stock OE specs. How is it riding?

Looks great!

deadlydave
06-08-2007, 05:39 PM
er, I like how it's riding, but it may be too harsh for some. Rear fenders are rolled a little, so no rubbing back there, but I need to modify the front fender liner, it's rubbing on every pothole. The S-techs are for a WRX, and there's a noticeable difference between them and the stock wrx springs I was running. Most likely, these will only be temporary, I'm saving for Ground Control adjustable coilover sleeves.

I totally dig the slammed look though, I wasn't sure if I'd like it. I'm still getting used to climbing down into the legacy though.

wow nice interior! Those seats look awesome Dave. Did you get the carpet used or new? How hard is it to install new carpeting? Are you going to do anything w/ the door cards?

Again congrats, those seats are mucho baller!

How well do the seats fit? Can you take pics of the car on the outside to see what it looks like?

deadlydave
08-06-2007, 08:01 AM
Thanks guys. Well, the carpet was taken out of a car, but it was almost new, and was in perfect shape. The writeup is here: http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=6803. Front was easy, back was PITA.

Shane, the front seats are a direct bolt on, in factory legacy locations. The seat belt bottoms need to be swapped for the legacy ones though. The back seats have some gaps that are pretty visible. I'm going to get some black fabric to take care of it. The top of the back seat mounts fine, but the bottom hangs out too far for my bolts to reach (though the brackets for the bottom of the seat are the same distance apart for both cars.) I'll get some pics when I get home.

And those seats are really comfortable, and hold me really well in the turns. Even my GF likes em.

do these seats sit taller than stock, even on their lowest height setting?

I had that problem when putting WRX seats in a '97 Impreza and figured it was the case for the Legacy also.

deadlydave
08-06-2007, 11:19 AM
My seat was adjusted up, and this one, adjusted mostly down is the same height. It's not really bad, but if you're taller than me (5'10"-5'11") you're not going to fit. The passenger side seat sits slightly higher, since it's non-adjustable. Fortunately the GF is 5'2". My Leg also has the moon roof, so I lose a little bit of interior height from that.

omahasubaru
08-06-2007, 11:26 AM
I'm the same height, but like the seats as low as they would go when I had a rex and the LGT is already a bit tall for my tastes.

thanks for the info.

Yea, how much did you pay for it?

deadlydave
08-07-2007, 10:11 AM
he's giving me the bumper, JDM side markers, 4 snow tires on 14" steelies, and the JDM center garnish for $175.
He sold me the mud flaps for $125, and gave me his '97 L rotors, calipers, pads, and brackets for free. He's letting me pay him a little each pay check, but he's moving, so he had to get rid of the stuff asap.
