hey all, just bought a '95 Legacy LS wagon, and now I know why Subaru owners seem to be a pretty passionate bunch. I'm amazed at how tight and solid this car is, even with just shy off 200K. The car was always well maintained and it shows. Only problem is I need to replace the AT. It drives fwd fine but reverse is out. I'll be able to really stretch it out after the new JDM AT. I'll post a picture shortly.

OI! thanks man. I'm having it done in a shop; I no longer have the facilities to do major work, and the expertise in the drivetrain and suspension area has never been my strong suit. I've had experience in electrical systems, and I had a biz a few years ago that I did just electrical work and restoration on antique and classic electrical systems.
My snap-on tool chest is parked in the kitchen now. :?
I also have a 72 MGB, so my electrical chops still get flexed occasionally. I just purchased the Suby 1 week ago and I still need to accumulate the manuals and diagrams I like to get for new acquisitions. My Mitchell manuals stop around 1988 or 89. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute advice and etc in the electrical arena after I get a bit more familiarized with "newer" primary electrical systems. I'm pretty good at tracking down gremlins though.

Hey, Welcome to SLi! :D

Just to keep things organized, post up your tranny problems in the Tech Section, and we'll start discussion about it :D

I was going to ask a few questions here, but I get off topic far to easy

nice collection.

oh man. you just opened up some old wounds with that MG.

My mum had a green 65 Midget for the longest time, but she had to sell it when i came along and she couldn't fit behind the wheel withme in her belly. she still reminds me of it every one in a while.

about 6 or 7 years ago, i came across a green 65 Midget (yes, same as teh one my mum had, except LHD) for like $3,000 that an old dude was selling. too bad i could not buy it.

i grew up on crotch rockets, but one of these days, i'm gonna buy myself an old bike and restore it. oh yeah, i also JUST MISSED my chance on one of these a few years back.
