Will Lightweight Flywheel/Group A Pulleys cause CELs?

Hey,

I will be installing a 13.4 lb ACT Streetlite Flywheel when I get my EJ25 back, I am considering investing in Group A Pulley Set as well. Would the combination of these cause me to pop CELs?

Also, will this cause stalling/rough idle issues, as this is my daily driver?

well, i have both a 13.3lb flywheel and a group a crank pulley.... my car runs fine! cant tell you about having a CEL tho, my car has had one for almost 2 years now haha, i really should check that again haha.

I have Group A pulleys with no problems but I have a auto so that doesnt really answer your question but when I find and get a manual I'm just going to do the flywheel and get a PS and alternator pulley and leave the crank pulley off because I a light weight flywheel is going to do alot more than a pulley and I dont think the gain you would get from just the pulley would be worth it

but someone that has done both would probably know more

The weight loss from the flywheel definitely beats out that of the pulleys. As I have already purchased the flywheel, that would be the one I would choose between the two as well.

with just the pulley, no not really. more mental than anything.

flywheel went on after not driving the car for 6 months so its hard to say, it revs quicker. doubt there was that much of a performance increase, its just hard to tell with this gutless 2.2 i got, atleast it can take a beating.

should be more fun when i get my eg33 shoe horned in.

Not really I was a bit dissapointed with it for the price I wish I would of spent it on a TB spacer or swaybar but it does idle alot higher for about 2 seconds after I first start it, it shoots up to about 2000 rpm instead of staying below 1000, so I know its taken off alot of weight and it accelerates alittle faster from a dead stop but thats about it. I also have a pitchmount so that might be why it takes off a little faster.

I have the group a pulley set on my auto but when I trade it for a manual I'm going to get a flywheel and just put the powersteering pulley and alternator pulley from the set on but leave the stock crank pulley on so it wont cause a CEL

Do like I do put just a flywheel on a stock car on forza 2 and see how it performs over stock. lol hey its better than just buying one without checking anything.

like if you take a stock car and just put on a racing flywheel you dont notice much but if you have titanium rods and every thing and go from a stock flywheel to the race one you notice alot better acceleration and throtle response.

lol and I know its just a video game and doesn't really make any real comparison to real life but it is a simulator game. (I dont have a life I know)

Whats have you done to your car? If I were you I would spend the money you would spend on the pulley set and get a swaybar or if you want it into the engine an intake and or TB spacer

btw I love the Group A pitch mount I can hear the starter motor start the engine when I crank it over but once its started I can't notice any increase in NVH at all

Group A light weight pulley is equivalent to removing 100lbs off of your car. Stick with the heavier aftermarket (that 13lbc ACT should be fine) flywheel and drive ablitiy shouldn't be too much off.
