View Full Version : So I bought "The Orange Box" this weekend...

Hey all,

Just picked up "The Orange Box" for my xbox 360 (Half Life 2, HL2 Episodes 1 and 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2). Half Life 2 is great (just like it was on the original xbox), and Portal is very interesting. Team Fortress 2 is pretty good so far... just got some lag on some of the servers (but I guess that's par for the course).

I'm the medic wherever I go for the most part. The healing mechanism in this game is a lot more convenient than the first TFC.

Anyone on here play TF2?

on the PC, not the 360 though, im more of a PC fan when it comes to FPS games

I have it for PC for the same reasons. It's good fun though, I did nothing but play HL2 for like 2 1/2 days after I bought it.

got it on PS3, dont think you can cross mix PS3 players with PC and 360 players tho.... kinda a bummer.

but yea for 20 bux the orange box is a sweet set, still havnt played portal yet, but im diggin TF2

Portal may very well be the reason to buy Orange Box. It is epic.

^ thats what i hear, just havnt got around to it. only got my ps3 a couple weeks ago, got orange box, GT5 Prologue, and GH 3, GT5 has been keeping me busy haha

Most of the time, I'm not into thinking/puzzle games. I'm hoping Portal changes my mind, I've heard plenty of good press.

damn right.. the ending for portal was sweet!

I brought it for the PC (great deal) however I have not been playing in awhile since I had to cut back on a few things to meet some goals by next month.

yes i played it today and it was epic... but i also managed to beat it in about 4 hours or less..... really wish it was about 10x longer

suddenly i want to re-install and play it......i never did get to finish the challenges, those things were tough as hell! :smt011

portal is awsome! love HL. not a huge fan of TF though. i play synergy alot (steam HL2 mod) its fun playing co-op HL2.

Same here. In fact i just reinstalled orange box so i can re-beat the games. Beat portal in 2.5 hours the second time around.

I dont think i would want to play HL2 on anything other than the PC.

i have a challenge for you guys, I wanna see the first one of you do ALL the challenges and get gold on all of them. lol. I still have yet to find someone who has done it.

The programming for portal just blows my mind. Really cool game.
