So, I'm an idiot in many ways I'd prefer to not get into here. My question: how is this coming out. Can this be taken care of by a master Dent Wizard, or does the body shop need a few hours with it? I am not doing paint; just want the dent removed. The paint is already broken so I figure what harm can the dent guy do?
I am going to a shop that I've used before to see what they can do, but curious what your thoughts are. Thanks.

I would say that to get it to look like there was no damage it would have to filled with body filler and painted. But you could probably get away by getting a hammer and dolly behind the fender or take it off and pound it out. You will still see hammer marks most likely, but it would be less obvious there is damage there. Then hit it with a buff wheel to get the light scratches and scrapes off and call it good.

Word. Thanks - that's all I want to do.
Another question: are the fenders welded on, or are they held on with clips?

Actually, I've always wanted to know if this one was legit, but it doesn't seem to be...

The fenders are just bolted on. There are probably 3-4 underneath the hood; one of them may be the same as the hood hinge. I would have to look to know for sure. There are also some on the bottom of the fender near the door. If you have a GT, you will probably have to lower the side skirt to access them. You also may or may not have to have the door open to get at some of them. There will also be some that are holding the bumper cover to the fender. That should be about it, but I am not for sure. I am going more on other cars that I have taken fenders off, and not an actual Subaru, so it may not be entirely accurate.

yes they are bolted on few bolts under the hood easily visible i think one is by the mirror one or two down below where front mud flaps should be at least one screw right where its bents and a plastic clip and i think two more behind the headlight. but before you do all that try to find a suction cup puller dent doesnt seem to have creases in it, it may just pop out.

^--- What he said, plus:
Be careful when or if you use a suction cup. Watch out for other areas of the fender that might flex or buckle.

theres two bolts in the door...open the door and look in the crack...youll see then
the bottom one you just loosed and slide the fender out...all the rest you have to fully take out...10 mm bolts too
theres two behind the turn signal, two underneath (if you have a gt you do have to take the side skirt off in the front to access them), and the two inside the door (you can keep the door on, just get a wrench)

Good news, fellas - talked to my body guy who is going to pull the dent and blend the paint in for $300. I figured I'm looking at $150 to pull it out and leave ripples or $150 plus installation fees (and waiting to find a replacement fender).
Plus, by this time next week, it will be fixed! :smt026
Thanks for all the input.
