so im driving the 92 ss i got. i go into boost, but it dones feel like 6-8psi. it feels more like 1-2psi. what is the stock boost on a legacy ss? ill have to get a boost gauge to make sure. what do you guys think. boost leak?

well the only definite way to tell is with a boost gauge, so get that first before making a 100% diagnosis. Otherwise, are you hearing any whistling or raspy sound on acceleration or when the engine is under load? Do you hear the turbo spooling up? Visually, you can check for any leaks around the UP and manifolds. Then visually check that all your intake connections aren't leaking, particularly from turbo to TB (it maybe as small as a torn rubber coupler so check under/around the clamps.

i can hear the turbo spool, but it almost sounds like the wastegate or the bov is opening to soon. will have to look at it when i get the car running again. fuel pump dies and cant get the pump out. need a new tank and pump. i dont hear and serging while its boosting.

You should get the check engine light and code 44 if the BCS (Boost control solenoid) was poked and the wastegate was doing funky things. The turbo may be blown is what i'm thinking, but that's a worst case scenario. Invest in a boost guage, it is the one mod EVERY boosted car out there should have. Don't do anything till you have a boost gauge!

ok so we have narrowed it down. the stock boost solenoid is bad.

Awesome, that's an easy enough fix. I had barely noticable symptoms on mine and it was a shot waste gate actuator.

Sweet. Well, i have a boost control solenoid here that's not being used... What's you BCS sticker say, is it a 2 port or 3 port?

well even by bypassing the stock sol the actuator i think is bad. its letting go at .38bar.
