Header Gasket Question

I just purchased Borla Knock-Off Headers and a Random Technology High Flow Cat. They are still bolted together.

I know that the headers will bolt right up to my '98 2.5 BD, but are the gaskets the same between the aftermarket and stock headers? I haven't had a chance to look at the shape of the stock bolt-up, so I don't know if the stock gaskets I have will work or not. My concern is if they are shaped a little differently, the points of contact may be different as well, thus reducing the effectiveness of the stock gasket design.

Any info/insight would be greatly appreciated,

Don't buy the crap they sell at a autozone, Pepboys or whatever. Go to the dealer and get there's. Actually GrimmSpeed sells that gasket, try them out.

the replacement gaskets dont seal well unless you clean the flange of your head and header well. plus they dont like to expand much like the oems

subarugenuineparts.com has them for fairly cheap. I bought new ones from them when I put my Borla header on. I think my friend got the Grimmspeed ones though and they seemed to work fine. Either way, you should get new ones.
