4EAT drain and fill - how much is too much metal?

I performed the drain and fill (4 quarts) on my 4EAT this past weekend. When I was pouring the fluid from the catch pan to the old containers for recycling, I noticed I had some glitter in the fluid..... looked like tiny gold colored pieces (brass?) but smaller than what I consider large glitter flakes.

I have 140k miles and expect -some- wear like stuff to come out, but how much is too much?

Should I be shopping for a tranny now?

Car still shifts fine and drives OK.

its the bearings starting to go out. i would jsut shop around to see how much you need to save up for when and if it goes out. if not save up for a mt swap on your car.
