There's a hose that Ts off of another hose on my charcoal canister which runs up to a solenoid located just above the charcoal canister. Can anybody tell me what solenoid that is? Looks flat/roundish.

It's on a 96 Legacy L, but i suspect it's similar on all subarus.

If it's connected to the charcoal canister I would guess it would be the purge solenoid.

Actually, I think the purge control solenoid is located in the engine bay.

I saw a diagram that would indicate this is either a pressure control solenoid valve or a back pressure transducer?

There’s a hose that connects to it which is broken, so I’m just wondering if that would have any affect on my car operation. I’m not throwing any CELs.
