Hey guys, I've located some gold Rota's 17x7.5 that I'm interested in fitting onto my LGT.
I'm on AGX's with WL Control springs and the wheels are 17x7.5 with and ET45 and 225/45/17 tires on them.
I know that's about the widest I could go wheel wise without rubbing and I've read 215 tires can be OK but what about 225's? Is there gonna be a little rubbing?
What can I expect if I get them?

im not 100 percent sure, but ive read about people rubbing with 225s and I have heard about people not rubbing with them. With your car being lowered, you very well may rub.

I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see then.

225/45/17 ET 45...
Stock suspension you'd be fine..
But you're running Impreza fitment AGX + WL Controls, so I'm betting you're already an inch lower than normal.
My best guess without a picture is that you will rub on the rears, especially with a load in the back.

I tried that tire size and offset, you'll definitely need to roll the fenders. Fronts slightly, rears quite a bit.
225s fit a lot better on a +48 to +53 offset.

I agree with Jamal. You'll definitely need to roll the rear fenders - the fronts you could be OK with. I'll reply to this thread later on this weekend after installing my new wheels which are shod with 225/45/17's. Wheels are +55 17x7 or 7.5 - cant remember off the top of my head. I'm rolled and lightly pulled so we'll see. My BD is pretty damn low so I imagine its still going to rub a bit in the back, especially under load.

These wheels are coming off a '03 WRX wagon, I heard that the wrx wagon's and our BD's had about the same space for wheels. However the guy could have his fenders/quarters rolled.
Is fender rolling expensive? If not I've got my winter set and I could just ride on these until I go get them rolled. Need a good shop around the Portland area, maybe southern washington aswell
After talking with the owner he didn't have to mess with anything to get the wheels to fit on his wrx wagon.

I got my suspension setup from Kraziken, the rear end sits higher than the front. I know they are AGX's with WL control springs.
So if the rears are prone to rubbing, perhaps I won't have as much of an issue with the rear sitting up like it does.

FYI, those are actually ET48, not 45. Rota never made a +45. Tire brand and model is just as important as tire size, as tires run completely different, even from the same manufacturer. If you're ok with rolling fenders in the rear you should be fine regardless...

Really? That's interesting. I went http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=37 there and they don't make a 17x7.5 in a +48, only +45.
I believe you I just wonder why there's some contradiction there. The wheels have 225/45 Falken 912 all season tires on them now and eventually I'm going to put some 452's on when these wear out.
Where's the ET stamped on the wheel, I'm going to have to take the a tire off to see it aren't I. Or is it stamped behind the lug holes?
Edit --- Okay so I was wrong the seller didn't actually say what offset they are.

Actually, I'd rust Rota in that case - they make the wheels. I've never seen a +45 Rev, but it must just be a different mold.
