So i was faced with a recent dilemma. One of the HID ballasts that came with the car had blown out. One replacement ballast runs for about $50-$60 bucks. So after searching ebay, I stumbled onto slimline ballasts. No one seems to know much about their quality but after doing some research, I found a corvette forum that was pretty happy with them. I bought a Xentec kit which came with 2 ballasts, 2 bulbs and a 2 year warranty. All this for only $80 bucks seemed like very good value. More importantly, their very small size made them a much better fit for the GTs tightly packed engine bay. It looks like they moved some of the electronics to a small black rectangle that hangs on the wire to save space in the actual ballast. I've been running these for several months now and i see no difference. They get the silentracer glare of approval.

Nice, I hope that they will be more reliable than the stock ballasts. Where did you get the kit from?
