ej18 on 98 outback ecu?

can i run a ej18 shortblock with my ej25d heads on my stock ecu? ae the sensors the same? i will be getting an apexi safc to tune the air/fuel ratio to make sure its alright but will my ecu be able to run the ej18, i know some motors had different trigger wheels and such and i wasnt sure if this was the case with the ej25 and ej18

:smt017 what are you trying to do?. running it n/a it might run, mostlikely like crap because the ej25d head will lower the compression to 8:1

no i will be doing a turbo setup, i have a second question to add to the first one , will the valves hit the cylinder walls since the bore of an ej18 is so much smaller?
