Don't flame me, my car ain't that pretty.

<-------------------

I've decided to change things up a bit since I am soon to have a set of JDM B4 RSK projector headlights (black housings) on my car, and wanted to match them to the grille (will be blacking out), the front/rear/side skirts (already black) and the wheels. I don't want to paint the stock wheels black, and can get a good deal on steel wheels from, say, Tire Rack.

But I just wanted to check if you guys know of a better deal than ~$50 per wheel. Like some cheap cheap cheap OEM steel wheel off a newer Subaru (I know Foresters and new Imprezas have a 16" steel option), or a 5X100 wheel off some other car make that would fit a Subaru?

Why not use the 15 inch 97 Outback base wheels. I have a set and they don't look that bad, a step up from plain steelies.

The mesh wheels look pretty good in black. Don't honestly know why the heck you'd pay up to $200 for steel wheels, when that same $200 can get you a set of alloy 16" wheels, that again, you could powdercoat black or something...

Sorry, I just can't picture a murdered out car on steelies.

WRX stockers. VW steelies would work too if you're bent on getting steelies...

Anyone know of a really good (cheap) place to buy steel rims other than tire rack? I too have been in the market for some for my winter tires, but $200 bucks seems a little steep.

Actually I owned two ex-cop Crown Vics for too long.

To answer the other questions, I have two good sets of 16" tires and figured I can sell the snowflakes to make up for having to buy new steelies.

My headlights SHOULD be in by the end of this week so once they're in I'll play around with Photoshop, see what looks better.

Subaru Foresters have some decent looking steels in silver... 02legacygt got a set for his BE, which would look great painted black.

Yeah I was looking at those too, but can't find 'em cheap enough.

I'm just impatient, I can't wait and stalk eBay/CL/Nasioc/Etc to wait for a set to show up. :smt013
