As you know I just got my car and I was wondering about where the leak can happen.. Right now it seems to be a lot around the oil pan area I can't fit under the car all the way... No I'm not fat but I'm curious on a cold start up it will run rough feeling when giving it gas but will be fine after a few Min and then giving it gas. I know I need to do a lot to get it back up but maybe someone can give tips or pointers?

Check for corroded hoses, or a cracked hose due to the broken radiator.

Buy all new hoses, and get that radiator fixed, then you will see where the leaks are coming from better.

Before you go and order parts. Do a pressure test on the radiator and check for leaks. You'll be seeing alot of coolant leaks when done correctly.

So I'm changing fluids and I pour in some coolant and I see it's dripping without the car running under where the lower hose connects to the engine...

Your water pump housing might be on the way out...

Could be... I drove to get gas which was not that far.. on the way back home the temp was on Hot.. no hot air coming from the vent just warm..

So how hard is it to get to the housing? I need to get the car up on the jack stands.

It's very simple... it's basically the first and last parts of a timing belt change.

In your situation I would pull the radiator and get it replaced while you're at it. You said there was a hole in it?

To get the t-stat out (which is inside the big bulbous thing underneath the engine, you need to undo two bolts IIRC and it drops down.

you need to remove the timing belt for it? I'm looking at my haynes manual now from what it seems they say it's driven by the belt so might as well knock that out as well? It might be coming from the weep hole it was really hard to tell since it was dripping from looked like two areas.

The more I looked at it yesterday it seems more like it's the water pump it's leaking from in front of the T-sat housing up behind the timing belt cover. I'm sure all this can be done with the engine in the car?

Yeah, if you are going to be in there anyway change the timing belt and all those associated parts

edit I notice this radiator has pipes on the side for a transmission cooler... will this cause issues in the car with a manual?
