its this wierd black rose color, like, pearlesant black, idk, going to either paint gloss back or WR blue

I actually rather like it. I haven't seen one like it before. Magnaflow looks nice tucked up under there, though I've never thought steering wheel covers look good...

I knew you didn't have a Members Ride up yet.

As for the paint it's like black granite of some shit like that, my GT was the same color.

lol quiet shane, i thought i made one :smt019 :smt005

but ya, im not too fond of the color really, dunno why, just....meh.....but ya, i think im keeping the interior blue afterall, but do the gauges red (the *safe* way, XD) and paint the exterior WR blue when i go ahead and get rid of all the rust.

Just installed a Ground Wire Kit from Sun Auto. Immediatly noticed my headlights were brighter and a slight difference in throttle response, other than that, nothing significant is noted.

cool b-day gift from my gf though heh ^_^, posting pics when i can.

Black granite pearl. The pearl in the paint is what gives the purple look. I had the same color sedan a couple of years back. :)

evolegacy
03-22-2009, 03:10 PM
you guys really like that color? lol im not sure about it really, :smt017 in any case, it needs a paint job to cover up a couple of rust spots forming and all the scratches on it from *fun nights out*

yes...she has seen a lot of action in that department :smt005

forgive me for not having photos, i'll upload them shortly

re cap from the last 2 weeks...

Installed a ground wire system, although im not positive on the placement of the wiring, but it goes battery>driver strut tower, battery>transmission, transmission>throttle body, throttle body>intake manifold, and intake manifold>passenger strut tower. Pics to come soon.

re-painted the interior trim, had a lot of wear and chipped edges on it.

Rolled the front bumber over a high curb which pulled the lip on the driver side down, popping the bolt holding it to the fender out. need to bend the metal on the fender back up to get it to line u correctly and find a way to bend the hard plastic lip back into place

found a leaking vaccum hose (valve cover>intake) so did a quick tape up until i get around to replacing the hose.

Ordered OBX 2.5rs headers for my BD, should come to my house on monday, cant wait to get rid of my broken borlas and oversized plumbing (ex's idea), keep in touch cuz i may sell the cat and muffler (both from magnaflow), only 2 years old used.

found out that my windshield isnt oem and that is why there is a lot of rust forming right above the top molding. since i work at an autoglass warehouse the techs are going to help me out for almost nothing ^_^.

and as for today.....nothing because its raining out :-(. I wanted to get another look at my timing belt which i thought the dealership had replaced when I bought the car, but as of lately there has been some noticeble issues in the timing of well...everything. also wanted to test the battery's voltage because, even though almost everything works, I can tell that there isnt enough power going thru the car to keep it fully operational, for example, the vanity mirrors lighting system slowly fades on but only barely, when that happens the whole car goes limp until i shut the visor.

lets see what else.....OH, making plans to make my first run at NE dragway this year, and then look into autoX some more as well.

::EDIT::

forgot to mention that i removed all my gauges to better position them and get the upgraded models, here is a link to them http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Elite-7-color-gauges.aspx. I originally had the tinted 7-color series but I could not see them during the day and the A/F gauge was not wideband like i needed. I'm in debate on wether I want to install them back onto my A-Pillar or tuck them into the center console, what do you guys think?

these interior shots are not completely up to date, i recent changed out the cluster, removed the gauges, and repainted the interior, same color but it needed it bad...(also note that i no longer have those ricer floor mats, i now have a full set of black rug mats)

Hard to see it since the paint is black but this is the passenger side rear door, the section below the side moldings got pushed in by a jeep's bumper while i was taking a turn, happened during traffic on 4th of july, in 2006

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/04/DSCI2212-1.jpg
and last but not least, the rust damage to my roof under the windshield molding. And I found out something interesting about my windshield from a tech at my work, the windshield not only has been replaced, but has also been poorly installed, universal moldings, OEM side moldings are glued on not clipped on like they should be, and in some spots there is excessive amounts of urethane where there shouldn't be any. So I have to not only replace my exhaust, but also my windshield before my inspection this year since its going to be safety this time >.< FUN!

Anywho thats the update for now, sorry for the wait on the pics. Just got my OBX headers in today they look so shiny (mesmerized by the stainless steel). when they get installed i'll post up a before and after sound clip since im replacing the muffler as well. keep in touch though because i may be able to keep the setup intact (only if your looking for sound though as this setup is not really meant for power, or for the turbo guys, if you have a small turbo this could work for you) otherise, im cutting out the cat and muffler and selling them, prices TBA.

As for the borlas, i can sell them to someone for cheap if they wanna weld the collector back on. They are genuine Borla, not knockoffs, paid $430 for them, here's link for proof http://www.borla.com/applications/lookup.aspx/1998/Subaru/Legacy/GTHeader/17183/. Other than the broken weld they are in fairly good condition, only 2 yrs old, about 10k miles on them. Send me a PM about it, price is $250, but can be nogotiable, local only though (MA, NH, RI), sry, dont wanna deal with shipping fees.

ya, and I found out from some of the techs i work with that i need body work before they can replace the windshield (replacing due to improper install).

but ya, on a new note, i found out my electrical problem, although its VERY bizarre. Ok so get this, i dont know how it happened but the reason the vanity mirror lights dimm slowly on is because, somehow, when they are engaged my passenger side radiator fan kicks on.

HOW #!@$ING BIZARRE IS THAT????? anyone got an idea as to how that could happen? keep in mind the last thing i did electrically was install a ground wire kit and short the cigarette lighter, blowing the fuse there.

ok so to give the followers a bit of an update, I've fixed the broken windshield and also had the rust behind it grinded down and treated, so thats 2 birds with 1 stone.

BUT a new issue is starting to bother me, the engine.....

at 115k she's got more issues than reason's 2.2 at 200K+, lol. I think I have it figured out but I need to wait on the parts to come in to give her a tune up. The only issue with said tune-up that I have is doing the timing belt, I'm scared to go in there and fuck things up, lol. If anyone knows of a detailed DIY send it my way plz, or better yet, if someone in the area knows how to do the timing belt and wants to give me a hand, let me know and I will meet up with ya.

Anywho on to the positive....

I'm setting up a poll (if I can figure out how) on what color I should paint the car, A glossy Candy Black, or World Rally Blue to match the interior trim. I can't decide so I wanted to ask you guys what you think.

so just curious does your jdm engine make more power than our usdms? ive never really heard anyone talk about swapping an NA jdm motor. im looking for some ideas since my car is burning oil like a maniac :smt019
and where did you get your exhaust pipe that runs from the end of your cat that comes with your obx headers (ive got those too  ) back to your axle back. i couldnt find one for my car without buying an entire exhaust set up and i have everything but that long pipe... i had an exhaust shop match the bends of my stock pipe and i welded flanges on it but its missing the resonater in the front and i think thats why it sounds like a rice grinder? lol plus it doesnt really tuck up the way i like

sybir
07-18-2009, 02:05 PM
Looks like a normal exhaust shop fab job. I was running a similar setup with my OBX's; I actually lopped up the flange on a stock midpipe and had the rest fabbed, so that I could easily swap headers + cats for smog purposes.

I have a Japanese motor in my wagon as well - they're not significantly different, run fine on 87, etc. I didn't notice any performance difference that I'd attribute to anything besides a fresher motor, but I went from a 4.44 to a 4.11 at the same time, so it's possible it's up a few HP.

i went from a 2.2L SOHC to a JDM 2.5 DOHC so yes, mine made more power, lol

but that also is because you went from a 2.2 to a 2.5, but ya, it does feel like there is some difference but there are a lot of factors, less mileage, no broken gaskets, etc.

believe me shane, i plan on doing that, but atm i gotta focus on that stupid issue im having. The wheel is starting to affect my sway bar, I can feel the wheel cocking from // to || to \\, and its killin the sway bar bushings. The worse part of all this is I lost my damn repair manual >.<, some ppl say its one thing, others say its something else, and its buggin the crap out of me :smt013 . believe me, I wanna buy a lot of stuff off ya man but I gotta focus on repairs, bills, then mods, in that order, and atm, i gotta repair this issue, im behind on 2 bills, and i dont have spare change for mods atm.

so quick update, I got the wheel hub fixed, but i need to take a look at the work because I am getting a clunk/knock sound coming from my front end, think something wasn't put in properly or came loose when it was up on the jack stands, idk, i'll have to look. In the meantime, I made a quick vid going 0-100mph, traffic was semi heavy so coming up to 80 then 90 was a little slow., anyways, here's the clip...

found the knocking problem, its the hanger in front of the cat, the exhaust shop decided to weld it to the body instead of putting it on a small hanger, stress took over and snapped it, now the 2 halves are clanging against each other, annoying as hell. Going to the exhaust shop this weekend to get that fixed.

Also tried my hand at using bondo, not too hard to do really. I'm currently covering up the hole where the antenna base sits since i dont use my radio ever since the antenna broke back in the winter a couple years ago. If all goes well its on to the rust issues.

It is, but if you are going to go with it do it right. IMO all those parts you want to paint or leave black will rice you up more. Color match and a nice 17" silver rim may bring you back on the fence.

At the end of the day my opinoin doesn't matter, it's your car,

I would definitely color-match the lips and skirts. It will make the car look lower and therefore more aggressive. You'll need better wheels to pull the look off too, if you stick with OEM then 05+ LGT 17x7 wheels would look great in a gloss silver.

now you guys got me bummin on the paint job :-/ (i get influenced easily)

the reason i wanna go with the black accents is because I dont want to look like a WRX and all blue looks too plain IMO. To answer your post huffer I would get new rims but stick with black ones, but then again this is all a huge budget job, nothing is really perfect and 95% of the work is done by me, I dont make enough to really go for the big stuff otherwise I'd already have an STi block w/ Stage 3 all around and a big turbo lol. I got too many bills to pay off before I can really dump big $$ into this car, but i do appreciate the feedback. Only thing is your the only 2 I know that dont like it xD.

Why do you have a Brighton gauge cluster?

broke the tach needle on my gauge so i said screw it i'll use a aftermarket tach. If that was from a brighton then it was a JDM brighton cuz all I did was take that tachless piece out of a jap cluster and stuck it in mine.

Like I said way back in the day, this is a PROJECT CAR meaning I LIKE TO TRY NEW THINGS TO SEE HOW IT LOOKS/WORKS, in the end i decide if i like or dislike and change it around, etc. thats just how i do things.

hey now i LIKE it! my interior has the same parts painted to match the exterior, which needs to be redone because i sucked at sanding....
anyways, i like yours better now that the interior and exterior paint match
The black trim looks good, and if you painted everything blue it looks really clean too. Either way i like it. Ever think about getting a stock GT spoiler on that trunk?

ya but the budget for the rest of the year is pretty much spent, I'm hopin to get a deal on maybe some KYBs or even TEINs early next year. as for the rims, ya i know, i need a set bad these ones are all chewed up and the passenger side front is bent in 2 spots, decent rumble after about 50mph. painted them black mostly to get an idea for rim color and to cover up the curb damage

I have to get ahold of one b4 I can buff it, might end up buying one friday and buffing it b4 the meet saturday. As for how long it took, well because of my situation and it being my daily driver, it took 3 weekends to do, mainly because we screwed up the first time and ran out of paint the 2nd xD. And even though it was only $26 per quart, I ended up spending 300 alltogether for paint and materials.

welcome to my world.

Now do you understand why labor is a big part of the bill? :-)

Bit of advice:

Dont just repaint and clear. If you sand or strip it back down, seal it first. You'll have a better chance at it adhearing to the car. Orange peel can be taken care of with a proper wetsand, good cutting compound and real buffing skills.

ok i feel like story telling (with pics!), so this one's about what happened to me during this weekend at the car meet (photos curtosy of redline)

met up with redline at the rt. 24 S rest area, added some air to the tires and started our 1 hour ride down to Colt State Park. On the way there both our GPS' said to take exit 2 off 24S, but dumb dumb me, i jumped on exit 2 in MA, not in RI, so we ended up in some town called tivton or something along that lines.....ANYWAYS, we got back on track and drove over a bridge with a sweet view
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/IMG_0279-1.jpghttps://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/IMG_0280-1.jpg

we arrived at the meet, not many showed, but familiar faces still came, and we decided to chill for a while, nothing special, just shootin the shit with others and taking photos. We eventually moved to a different spot near the coastline and got some more photos
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/DSC00366-2.jpghttps://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/DSC00363-2.jpghttps://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/DSC00367-2.jpghttps://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/IMG_0286-1.jpg

So after that, the guys from LGT and the 1 guy with the wrx left, leaving just me, redline, disturbed, reason, and.....ugh.......and........(F*** i forgot his name XD). ANYWHO, reason decided we could go hit up old rt. 14 and rt. 12 to do some touge, but he didnt mention that well, he forgot how to get there  . so we waited in a parking lot for him to regain his bearings, and thats when disturbed decided to get something to eat from subway. He went in for subs and came back with a grin from ear to ear. We asked him whats up and he had quite the story to tell (sry, he can tell you guys, we only heard from him, so better to hear it from the horse's mouth).
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/IMG_0304-1.jpghttps://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/IMG_0315-1.jpg

Finally getting back on the road, and after I found out what old crust windshield wiper fluid tasted like :smt016 we got to the place. This is where things get funny. We are stoppin and going, turning and sliding, speeding up and slowing down, stopping frequently for piss breaks, etc. about 45 mins go by and suddenly, my car bucks and bogs out. So we pull over and it goes downhill from there, we cant figure out what the issue is, it wont drive when you put it in gear, there's bubbles in the coolant tank, just a total mess.
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/th_MVI_0306-1.jpg (http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c73/evotrance/SL-i/?action=view&current=MVI_0306.flv)https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/th_MVI_0330-1.jpg (http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c73/evotrance/SL-i/?action=view&current=MVI_0330.flv)

So we find out there's an autozone about 6 miles from us, which takes almost an hour to get to since i had to be pushed by disturbed and it stalled out everytime i stopped, and also dealt with random ppl telling us we suck as they drive by (wtf right?). When we get there, the clerk tells us that he cant do a OBD scan cuz its raining out, so we all get pissed and decide its food time. I called up AAA to prepare to get the car towed, because at that time we all thought that I might have blown my tranny. we called at 6:15 and the guy shows up at 7:45 saying he normally doesn't punch in til 9, but its ok cuz we ended up being cool with this guy and shootin the shit with him before and after the car got dropped off. Next day I found out the engine was just water logged and all the electricals had to air out and dry. everything was fine after that, cept for the bubbles in the coolant......those are still there :smt012 . But in the end.....I still got my french fries and a strange sinister smile that lets you know that I'll be back next year to haunt you

so, after pondering about what to do with her during all this free time i've had, and I am doing 2 major projects with her. One is an older one that I had originally planned to do with her, the other is something i still need to do research on and may not even be done in the next 12 months.

bad news for all you followers of my thread, its staying secret, mainly because i tend to be influenced very easily by other's thoughts on what i do, but this is 100% my ideas for the car and 100% uninfluenced. I'll give you 2 hints though trying hard not to reveal them.

The 1st idea involves a lot of work, not as much as the 2nd idea, but in the end will make things sleeker.....and demonic

The 2nd idea costs a decent amount more than the 1st, and maybe twice as long to be completed if thought out and done in small amounts over time. Within the SLi forums, its only been done by 2 other ppl, and recently (within the last 6 months).

I'll let your minds wander. Those of you who already know from other convos on other threads, keep quiet I wanna see if anyone will figure this out, but dont post here, throw me a PM if you think you know what im doing. Good luck lol!

OK! fine one more hint for both, for the 1st one, think of something that makes someone (or in this case something) sleeker, and for #2, what uses 2 rotating propellers?

You're shaving the door handles and installing a supercharger.

aright here's the other idea i plan on doing, its the original idea i had for the car and after experimenting with other ideas i wanna do something thats gonna be a permanent modification.

the car is getting repainted back to black, I'll either be getting a greddy lip or JDM front bumper, JDM projectors w/angel eyes and fog running 6000k or 8000k HID kits for the projectors and 3000k for the fogs, all rust and dents will be repaired/removed before painting, 35% tint all around, JDM taillights smoked, New Rims (havent decided what yet). This is all just the exterior, The interior is getting a makeover as well.

All dash trim will get painted black or covered with a Carbon Fiber Trim kit, carpet will be replaced with a black carpet, roof liner will be covered with black cloth, rear window card will be covered black, If i cant find the seats I want a friend is going to stitch up synthetic leather w/blue stitching on the rear seats and front seats, instrument cluster will be replaced with one that has a working tach, all back lights to the instrument clusters will be changed to blue, 3 gauge A-Pillar w/EGT, A/F, and vacuum gauges, once the Supercharger build is done, I will get a 3 gauge DIN cluster with fuel pressure, boost, and oil pressure gauges, when that time comes I'm moving the AC cluster down underneath my CD player and putting the DIN gauge cluster in its place, All gauges will have blue LEDs for night driving. 4-point harnesses and a harness bar will be installed sometime after the front seats are replaced.

I have other plans that are for performance such as suspension changes and a transmission swap, but with my current income being almost nothing I can only do the visuals since they are cheaper, all performance mods are at a standstill til i secure a high paying job.

ok so I've brought the car to 2 seperate mechanics, and both have given me the same results, no noises coming from the front while on the lift but in the back you hear rubbing going on at the rear driver wheel, which is from a bad rotor. Both mechanics also said that there is no bearing noise coming from the front driver side wheel. unfortunately, the noise I was hearing is now gone so i cant get a sound clip for you, but I can try to describe it.

I know it hasnt been fixed because the sound came back after driving it around for a while yesterday and it was coming from the FRONT not the rear. when it comes around its rotational, and gets quieter as you gain speed. It sounds like a metallic grating noise, like taking 2 rotating pieces and letting them touch lightly off and on. when you slow down to a crawl, the noise gets extremely loud and harsher, if i could describe it correctly i would, but its such a distinct sound that i cant compare it to anything else. I can say though that you can feel the vibrations from the sound resonating thru the floorboard on the driver side, and it sounds like it is coming from the CV joint connecting to the differential AND the wheel as well. it kinda makes me think that its the joint, which would make sense since the boot has been busted for over 2 years (never thought about fixing it).

I'll list off what I know needs to get replaced and if you guys think its any of these let me know please, its really getting me bothered having to listen to that noise when it comes around.

Front Driver side problems:
Tie rod boot needs to be replaced
Inner CV Joint Boot Needs to be replaced
Ball Joint boot needs to be replaced (just busted it yesterday while trying to take off the knuckle >.>)
Lower pin on Caliper (Lock Pin?) is stuck/hard to pull in/out (brand new too, just replaced them for same reason)
End-Link worn, able to push down on it without much force. Needs replacement.

Front Passenger side Problems:
Inner CV Joint Boot Needs to be replaced
ball joint boot needs to be replaced (I think, dunno if mech changed it when he installed the knuckle after the bearing replacement)

Rear Driver Side Problems:
Rotor is rubbing against dust plate due to rust

All sides:
New rotors needed on next brake change

so........whatta ya guys think?

aright so the mech fixed the problem, it was in fact the CV axle, but he didnt do the balljoints and the rack & Pinion boot. Said that the balljoints are fine for now and I can do them myself down the road anyways if need be, but supposedly the boot is part of the rack and I'd have to replace the entire rack.....why does that sound like BS to me? I mean they have boot kits so I would assume you can do it w/o removing the rack, all you'd have to do is disconnect the tie rod and run the boot over it and down to the rack right? anyways, he said its not leaking anything so its fine :/ well, we'll see how fine it is after the winter's over. 2010 is gonna be generous to my car in terms of mods and swaps.....once i find a good paying job that is XD

But could've helped you save some on labor and you get the core $ back to reduce cost some more. I have to put a new axle on my old BK soon. I priced out some axles already and found some between $98-$130 pre-core. I'll be doing the job in the nearr future to give you a better understanding.

The boot isn't part of the rack. Theres a spring that kinda acts like a rubber band that holds it on to the rack. One of mine ripped, I had to replace it when I did the tie rods.

thats what I told the mech after he did the axle but he didnt bother to listen :-/ I'll just take care of it myself when i get the money for the boot, may have a possible job at a local Finishline store here :D. hey, its still good to know though in the event that I need to do it again. only reason it was done by a mech this time around was because I couldnt get the knuckle off and wasn't prepared in terms of avail. tools.

So an update for those following, my unlucky arse seems to have blown another headgasket >.>......

I have most of the symptoms/signs of it at least suggesting that its the headgaskets, air in the coolant lines, oil residue around the gasket, thing like that. No white smoke though and, at least from what I can see, no white residue in the oil either. So my guess is that its the outer portion thats gone and not the one surrounding the cylinder, which is good I guess in the sense that I can last a while with it for the time being until I can pull it out and replace it.

Only bad thing about this is that I have, yet again, need to dump money into repairs for this project that I could've spent on other things like JDM lights or repainting.

Sry if I am very blotchy with my apperances here on the site lately btw, its been hectic here and I have developed a few ytoubling issues here at home so it keeps me away from the PC more than I want to.

I'll keep you guys posted on the car and when I'll be back here 100%

ya, which later lead to the blown piston and then eventually the snapped rod. But ya, im hoping its something different as well. The old man thinks its just the PS leaking from the resevior down onto the block, but I dont see where it could be coming from. I do see what looks like oil residue on areas that wouldnt make much sense if it was the headgasket, like up on the PS lines, but the whole front of the block behind the timing covers you can see the oil residue around the gasket.

Im not too too concerned only because I cant spend the money to fix it at the moment. Right now my priorites are new tires and new lights. I need the lights cuz the cops pulled me over cuz my low beams are non-existant so from behind it looks like my headlights are out.

I know if it is a headgasket I can last a little while with it like that and since im not working i dont have to worry too much about putting stress on it every day of the week.

bleh, shit happens for a reason, I just seem to get the bad stuff a lot >.> I'll keep you posted

Hey all, sry I havent been around in a while, been busy with the new job and taking care of bills and such. Just wanted to give you a Heads up on my current plans for the spring.

1) Just bought JDM headlights, waiting for them to come in the mail hopefully sometime within the next 2 weeks. If anyone knows how to wire these correctly hit me up with a PM or a link to a DIY.

2) Replaced bad Fuel Filler Pipe with new one and coated it with some underbody liner to keep the salt and dirt from corroding this one.

During the Spring Im going to try to save up to bring the car to Maaco's and have them do rust removal and repaint the car, friend's paint job did not bode well with this winter weather. During the spring and summer I'm going to start working on the suspension, now that I have a fairly good income I can start saving for things like lowering springs, sway bars, end links, etc etc. Also during this time I'm hoping to finish up the engine by picking up a 3 pc. pulley kit, TB and IM spacers, and a new CAI, not really liking the current setup that I have due to a lot of water getting into the system.

Dont have much downtime with the new job but I'll be around more often I promise :3

thx for the WB, and The DIY is a little confusing but I think I'll understand it better once my parts come in. Currently having a heart attack over a white milky fluid in my oil fill neck. my thought is the HGs but there's nothing in the oil, no noticable difference in power due to compression changes, and no water/coolant smell or liquids coming out of the exhaust. the only other evidence I have is some dirt/oil residue thats near one of the spar plug housings and bubbles in my resevoir tank for the coolant. Old man isnt convinced that its the HGs so he told me a few ways to check the system, doing them friday and I'll post the results when im done

ya sry i havent been around, been busy jobless and everything -.-.....

anywho, just wanted to pop in and say i'll be at this week's SL-i Meet in RI, cant wait to see everyone again! as for the car, i just got the brakes done finally, front calipers where seized so i had to replace them and I put on a set of powerslot rotors, braking improved quite a bit....

later this week, hopefully before the meet, im going to be installing an 04 wrx interior i got from my friend's totaled one, he's parting it out and i got the front seats, back seats, and rims off him for $300 total....I wanted to get the motor from him but he's taking it and putting it into his new one, anywho, I'll be posting pics on OP later this week or after the meet

Sry I missed out on the SLI meet this year guys, unexpected HG issues, brake problems, still no job >.<.....

anywho....I just ordered a ton of parts for a mini overhaul on the block, its in dire need of it and I didnt feel like going any longer with a ticking timebomb under the hood

its basically just a cylinder overhaul really, new oil seals, cover seals, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, head gaskets, new studs, machined heads, IM gaskets, header gaskets, etc etc.......Should be getting the parts at the beginning of next week and will start working on it immediately. I would have the heads sent out to get PnP along with the machining but this $$ is coming out of an already non-exsistant source so I can't afford to do much....all together im spending about $450 for everything listed here. I'll update again when its done ^^

sending the car in to the mechanic 2morrow morning to have the CV Axle replaced again. was put in only a year ago and the joint is fucked up again, took a glance and seen that the clamp on the outer boot wasnt there anymore so either he screwed up or it legit fell off, but seeing that there arent any other real indications of damage my guess was he forgot to do it.....hoping to get away without having to pay a penny.

UPDATE:

car is getting parted out then junked, HGs blew on me again x.x, possibly from either a bad install or from me being a lead foot >.>...also, CV axle went on me again!, after my last post i brought it to the same mech (never goin there again) to replace it for free again, said he couldnt see anything wrong with it this time but he replaced it with, what he said, was an OEM rebuilt replacement. Then i go and get the car and my ABS light is on, asked him what that was about and he said it just turned on and had nothing to do with him and his guys cuz the sensor is on the hub, not the axle. Im like dude you have to move the hub to get to the axle so obviously your gonna come into contact one way or another with the sensor >.>. Said he'd offer to fix it but not for free I flipped him off and went home. 3 weeks later the fucking axle shaft slips out of the center bearing on the inner joint. Havent bothered fixing that. So on that note I consider this car dead, has given me nothing but problems over the last year and I dont have the money to be tossing into something thats just gonna fail again.

looking into possibly buying a 99 GT 5 speed from reason, has blown HGs but says he'd gimme a hand with that, overall the car looks good, headin to his place sunday to take a look at it. If all works out and I get the money i need to buy I'll flatbed it to my place and get the work done that is needed. Once I know the car is running, I'm gonna swap out all the good parts from mine (CAI, Headlights, etc etc) then put the stuff i swapped out of the new one back on the old one and either junk it for some cash back or donate it for a tax write-off for next year.

In any case, I am still part of this family guys, just been busy as hell to do anything x.x
