I purchased an imported JDM EJ25 DOHC for my '98 BD, which was tested prior to installation.
The results I was given were:
Compression: 180, across the board.
Oil Pressure: 80.
Hope that is helpful.

If your dad owns a garage he should have access to Alldata or a repair manual system that should clearly detail the specs for cylinder compression and oil pressure...
I myself don't know the answers to this.

14psi @ idle. 40psi @5xxx rpm at operating temps, is what alldata said IIRC. compression should be higher then 125psi on the cylinder. compression should be roughly the same for all cylinders

^^+1 on that
125 is still pretty low though unless the motor is really cold. a warm engine should be around 150-160 psi for each cylinder.

Yep. My BE was an even 160 across all cylinders when I did a compression test a few months ago.

Seems like my NA EJ25 runs around 40 operating. My turbo'ed EJ25 runs more I think, and it seems to fluctuate a lot more.
