turns out the cable that connects to it is not connected... I wonder if this was meant to be removed or something popped off?

^^ yeah but for that all you have to do is not use it, why disable it completely??

I can't figure out how the cable goes on it.... Does the cable go into that slot? It's. Hard as he'll to move it all the way over so it's close enough to seat it but it never goes all the way down.

finally got it connected stupid me did not know the cable goes in the hole and not the metal thingy.. that's just to hold the cable on.
