fixing my stupid gauge cluster/needles

ok so to make a long story short my uncle took my gauge cluster apart to put some white faced overlays in and I didnt like them/never got around to getting his scangauge to get my needles back in right so i just pluged the cluster in but left the glass off but now im sick of seeing it and want to fix it and my uncle is no longer avalable to help me so im guna sand the back and do the sharpie thing to make my stock gauges glow red

as for the neddles I have the 4eat can anyone tell me what the rpm should be at idle? or some way of putting this needle in

and can anyone tell me what the speed should be at variouse rpm ranges like 1st gear 3000rpm 4000, 5000? so I can put that needle back in

and i looked and couldnt find a diy write up but im not sure how to get it all back...i can probably figure it out but i already broke a needle and had to superglue it and dont wana break anything more

Yes I did my uncle had a scan gauge that told me every thing the funny thing was I guessed my RPM's perfectly the speedo was a little off.

my gas and temp gauge still doesnt work... is there a way to reset them?

the temp gauge stays in one spot, if i move it it moves back to the same spot...

and im pretty sure the gas gauge doesnt work at all,, it moves up some times when i put 6+ gallons in and very very slowly moves back to around 1/4 tank

Best thing to do is get another gauge cluster that's somewhat close to your mileage. Saves headache and frustration trying to get it to work right.

This, plus, it's dead easy to take the speedo out, and put in your own milage.

So if i buy a new cluster its not going to show my actual cars miles. So im going to have to swap the odometers???

Lol yes your new gauge cluster is going to read what ever it read when it was pulled from that car. But no you can change the miles pretty easily.
