I just got a set of wheels with tires - 17x7 with ET42 - 215/45R/15

I have been reading a lot about different offset, wheel, and tire sizes and have a few questions.

1) Will these be a safe fit for my car (98 GT sedan)

2) Will i have any rubbing or problems?

3) Would a different size tire be better?

4) How fast would the wheel bearings actually wear out compared to normal wear with stock wheels?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Well for starters if you really have 15" tires they won't work on your 17x7 wheels.

17x7 with ET42 - 215/45R/15 = 17" wheel x 7" wide, offset +42mm, 215 track width, 45% profile, 15"???

1) Assuming you have a 17x7 ET42 w/ 215/45/17 tires - YES
2) No - unless you're lowered. I'm assuming you have a stock suspension. You may rub on the rear corners or under heavy load.
3) Better for what?
4) A little quicker, but that depends on more than just your wheels. It depends on your driving, and the age of the vehicle.
How long is that piece of string again?

215/45/17 fits your speedo best, for a 17" wheel.
