Subarus New look [Archive] - Subaru Legacy International

I don't know anout everyone else, but i'm not liking the new subaru look. The new front end on the WRX is ugly. That SUV teh Tribeca is pretty ugly itself...I hope they don't give the legacy that look in the next few years.

its growin on me, and yes legacy will get it in 07 or 08 supposedly.

i actually don't mind it in black, cause you can't see the grille. and i hate the 06 tail lights.

I think subaru is going in a totally wrong direction. The WRX is the best one so far, but that doesn't mean it looks good. The tribeca is but ugly, and the forester also got a redesign this year. They made the lights super small, so it no longer looks like a big wagon, but a mini-suv instead. Ugly. The legacy is definately good looking, but like others have said, it'll probably get the proverbial axe soon as well.

Back OT, a company rep who drives an Outback came in the other day. He isn't an "enthusiast" but he likes Subarus. He's thinking about getting the Tribeca for his wife. She likes it, he likes it.

They're what 95% of Subaru's customers are like.

The new front ends look alot like Suzuki front ends. They are however growing on me. I still think my 99's front end is the best! :-D

I don't like it. Too much like an SUV (now, I know that it looks like a forester, and that might be part of it, but I still don't like it).

BTW, that impreza front end is the direct replacement for the foresters. However, its too small a front end for such a large car. I can't believe they went from this:

I originally thought that my next subaru would be a forester, because it retains the more squarish look of the wagons, which I feel make them look much better, however, if they're going to be this ugly.... :roll:

Ya know what's funny? The new Forester look is growing off of me. I liked it originally, and I still think the brand-new Forester STi in Japan looks über-h0tt... but the new one just doesn't look right from many different angles...

I was seriously (actually still am a bit) considering just dumping all the Subarus I have now and sign my life away on an 06 Legacy GT before they Edsel-ize it too. But there's no way I could do it, not with out some help from the folks :(

I heard the roadsters are slow (3 cylinders, what do you expect?) but that they're so light and nimble, they are uber fun to drive. Oh, not to mention interchangeable color panels means you don't need a paint job, but rather you go to a dealership for a panel swap, that rocks.

No one likes the Alfa, 04-05's were better...

The tribeca front is ugly, but theyll change it. I dont like the newest forester, I think the previous was a lot better looking (as PWT said). The Impreza look is awesome, they just need to work on the bumper.

Would much rather take the current horse collar grille over that.... WAAAYY too big for the rest of the front end... Give me a 98 WRX anyday over any of them :wink:

I have to say the 06 front of the imprezas is sexy, my dad just got an 06 wagon in steel grey metallic and i'm loving it, it looks really good. I didnt like the new look at first either but its grown on me a lot.

Yeah, it was that way with my mom's GC too. I didn't like the styling, but I ended up thinking it was pretty cool :)

At first I didn't like the new impreza look but the more I see it the more I like it. I'd buy one now if I had the money. It has a more aggressive look than any other impreza style. That concept is pretty sweet though. I haven't seen a new forester in person so I dont really have any thoughts on that. B9 needs to go, enough said. I hate the look of the new Legacy, the front end looks really stubby, I like the boxy look of BDs and the BEs. Thats just my opinion though, I guess if you dont like the look of something you can change it or buy something different.
