Leggy won't start

So my car was out of commission for nearly a week waiting for a clutch cable clamp. When I finally got that in, got the clutch cable properly tensioned and adjusted, I finally had the car running... For less than 24 hours. It ran fine the other night, then yesterday I drove it to campus (20mins away) and when I got out of class she was dead, wouldn't start. Just a single "click" coming from the right side of the firewall. The lights come on, the radio works, the windows roll up and down at full speed (they don't even do that when it's cold and the car works fine) We tried to jump-start it, no dice. We were able to push-start it and got it home. I did some reading (obviously not enough) and thought it was the starter, so I blindly went to checker and bought a new one for $180. :smt013 Installed it with some difficulty (it's very hard to slide under a car with a broken nose) and that... wasn't the problem. Cleaned my battery terminals, no dice, checked the battery with a multimeter, no dice. Everything appears to be in order... WTF is wrong!? Starter solenoid? Switch?

-Car sat for 5 days without being started
-Started fine, drove fine
Car won't start now, makes one single click from the right side of the firewall (sounds almost like it's coming from the glove box) also simultaneously makes a click from inside the steering column when the switch is pressed
-Electricals seem fine, radio, lights, accessories come on, battery reads normal with multimeter
-Replaced starter, WAS NOT THE PROBLEM

The moral of the story... Don't blindly throw parts at your car. And try to return the ones you do.

the noise you might be hearing is the starter relay? get out your test light and see if you have power to the signal wire the starter. if not trace it back to the relays. if so all the way back to the ingition switch

It was the relay, popped a new one in this morning and she started right up.
