looking at getting new wheels/tires for summer setup. would the 35 offset on the following BBS could be a problem? I'm currently running stock struts/springs but I'd like to know for right now and also if i decide to lower the car. Legacy GT 03

205-40/R17 current tires

Any input much appreciated... as always! thanks

Accelerated wheel bearing wear with a 35offset.

205 is pretty narrow for width, those wheels should be 17x7, so a 215 width is better (or even a 225).

That's all the rage in vdubs right now.

Well, that depends. What are your plans for the car?

Going from a -53 to a -35 moves the wheel centerline outward by 18mm. This changes your scrub radius by that amount, and also has a corresponding change to the bump-steer characteristics of the suspension. Other things are also changed, but I won't get into it here.

Yes, the problem is you will have accelerated wheel bearing wear.
