Hey guys, just finished painting my sideskirts and I have a quick question.
The little black rubber strip that was attached to them with some kinda glue, well, took that off to paint.
what is the best way to re attach those? haven't even test fit w/o them, but im guessing that it gonna look like crap not there. maybe hot glue? just seein if anyone else ever did this (i think most ppl just paint the strip too, but i like it black)

You are talking about the rubber protection on the "dog leg"

2-part epoxy. Thats what I used..

But it will be hard to remove after the epoxy sets

No, not the rear black plastic strip - the bit of rubber that runs the length of the skirt. I don't have a good pic of it, but it comes installed from factory to create a better seal between the plastic skirt and the metal rocker.

Short answer - you don't need it.

Some brake cleaner to clean up the inside of the skirt and some two part epoxy to hold the seal to the skirt.

Done.

This two part epoxy is super glue for cars :-p

what chuck said. you dont need much either. other than that you can use a weatherstrip adhesive

use rubbercement to hold the rubber back on the sideskirt. this is here to keep moisture and dirt out ultimatly preventing rust

Did you buy the quicksilver in a spray can? the only way I found quicksilver was the touch up paint where you brush it on...

no, its just duplicolor "silver Metallic" i think is what its called... 98% match, aka, you cant tell one bit on the sideskirts, and my drivers side door is also half painted this color, and nobody has ever said anything in 2 years...
