Should this hose be connected to the air intake?

I was checking my knock sensor to see if it has a crack (it does) and I happen to noticed right under the intake tube the part near the Throttle body I see only two hoses connected but on the right side (facing engine) nothing is connected at all and I saw no traces of any misses hoses.

Is it meant to be left like that? Only two are connected at the moment.

Yep, if that's the stock intake, there's supposed to be a breather "recirc" hose attached.

doesnt that just go across and connect to the other head, or am i lookin at that wrong?

the hose from the drivers valve cover beather should attach to that

I will look again but I saw no loose hose maybe that's why the car runs funny after starting from a cold start

there should be a hose on the fitting just left of #3
