View Full Version : Lake Berryessa, CA drive 3/22/09

(deep smokers voice, like the guy in movie previews)... One Sunday, Two SLI members set off on an epic journey. To drive... the Mt. berryessa peak. Overlooking the lake; the drive promised satisfaction. They set off with only a glance at google maps as a reference.

The country roads drove the symetrical all wheel drive to the ground, swayed the sway bars, over powered the steering, brakes, and shocked the struts...

Anyway... here are some pics of a recent drive. We didn't actually make it to the peak due to an unforseen private road.

It was about 150 miles and four or so hours, but g'damn, we had some fun. It was great getting to play on Tarmac, Dirt and in the Water. :smt023

Someone needs to teach Phil how to drift :lol: and remind him that he's not in a fwd car anymore

Looks like you guys had fun. Let me know if you ever do it again, I'd be glad to tag along.

Rofl, it was my first time driving AWD off road, I guess it's obvious, lol. We'll hit you up next time for sure man.

It was a last minute thing but next time will be soon and you're for sure tagging along. How about after the suspension upgrade?

Haha the drifting was fun and I think both Phil and I agree that we have new apprieciation for the professionals doing that at 100mph through trees...

what i was availble that day and i live in napa,ca!!!!! like ahhh i could of joined you guys, aww man, next time you guys come up here shoot me a pm, i would love to go!!! Great pics and video guys

If you're Locay was more accurate than the "Bay Area" we might have known :smt016

Definitely will do though, we could meet up at the junction of 121/128 or something.
