Exhuast question>?

Hey guys, i recently got s 96 legacy Sedan L, 2.2, new to Subaru's. Well i have a magnaflow chambered muffler laying around and i was wondering if i put it on will it give me that boxer sound. (somewhat) lol

everything else is stock. Whenever i get money later on, i plan on getting headers.

But for now i'm just trying to figure out what kind of sound this would give me, don't want that ricy sound also, wanting a deep sound.

It'll give you more rumble. As to what kind of sound, and whether or not you like it, I have no idea.

I know that a mid pipe and headers will help out. I enlarged my pipe to 3" from the cat back to big for N/A but i was planning on turbocharbing it, but any type of free flowing muffeler will help get the sound out. I have a borla on mine and its really deep sounding never really screaming just a nice constant low tone burble. Look on the thread about exaust clips and find one that you like and that will give u a idea of what u want to do to you car.

thanks for the help, like i said, i plan on getting headers, so i guess that and the muffler will make it sound good.

im going to look at that exhaust thread.
