I have baseball pretty much every weekend through may but i could be up for something shorter like a chuckanut run some weekday evening. That road really never gets old, you just learn to go faster.

99gtlimited
04-06-2009, 12:17 AM
so nobody else in the NW is up for this?

Airgne
04-06-2009, 01:05 AM
well im up for it(now that i quit my 2nd job). i see there are 3 on the poll, but who is the 3rd?

99gtlimited
04-06-2009, 01:22 AM
i guess that's a mystery, did you ever get a hold of adam?

Airgne
04-06-2009, 08:58 PM
yea. the "freind" of mine i was talking about before jewed out on me this past weekend. also adam didnt want anyone he didnt know working in the shop. so i have to wait tell next pay day to get the coilovers of the impreza.

99gtlimited
04-07-2009, 12:47 AM
so you were gonna pull the coilovers off that RS? what would be replacing them on that car cause it would need to be rolling to leave his shop.

04-07-2009, 04:46 AM
why....so close to the west side?

99gtlimited
04-07-2009, 02:08 PM
cause it's the best side

[Edit] I voted yes but I posted before I read the date. I won't be able to attend, as I'll be living in AZ for school starting early August. If a reschedule can happen somehow, I might be up for it. [Edit]

Well I guess if I can get a job soon then I'll go. I was under the impression up until like, last week that my car was on its way out, but in the end I decided that since apparently I'll be going to UTI (Phoenix, AZ campus) in a few months, I might as well work on the Scooby while I'm there. Oddly enough I've driven around Mt. St. Helens (it was last year, in fact ) before, and I'd certainly do it again. Especially since this time I've got a radar detector

If I can get him to bring one or two of his toys, I might bring along a friend with either a 79 280ZX or an early 70s Monte Carlo to test your mettle with . Too bad the plans I've got down for my Legacy won't be realized for a few years, but when they are, ho man you guys will want to be at whatever meet I come to, I can tell you that much . Some hints: EZ30TT, built wrx 5-speed with PPG dog set + other PPG parts, some used/rebuilt Impreza WRC parts, 4 point 3" harness in four of the seats, etc. Lots of fun, but lots of money too. Probably worth it in the end though to me, and that's what the game's all about boys and girls :smt023. I should have a build thread going by around September of this year or so. First part on the list: $2,000 JDM EZ30 long block. All I can say is, thank the lord I'm willing to put in pretty much ALL of the labor in my build myself, and that I'm an absolute perfectionist at this s@#$.

For now, I've got a 4-AC to pull out of a certain Toyota tomorrow. That s@#$'s gotta go :smt076

Sorry for the thread jacking by the way :-?; haven't posted in a long ass time, and I figured it was time for a progress update,
- Scott :smt028

I'd be up for another Legacy cruise around Mt. St. Helens in September. That trip was such a blast, even though I got a speeding ticket it was still worth it. I might want to go camping two nights this time around.

The only other meet I'm planning on going to this year is the West Coast Subaru Show in Astoria and maybe a couple real local meets.

well if ppl can get friday off than we can make it for a friday camp, sat drive, satnight camp, and sunday clean up and go home.

Oohhh... ouch. I know the feeling of a suddenly non-working engine. It's not a fun one. Don't get it replaced at the dealership, they'll charge you like $3800 for a rebuilt engine!

What a coincidence, that's more than my car is worth, too :smt012. But screw it, the car's not under my name, and it basically secured my being able to hold onto said Scooby, and in the end, build a $5k transmission (among other things ) for it when it's all said and done. I'm just pissed that we payed 3800 dollars for an 83K engine that really just got some new gaskets and crap .

July could easily work for me, provided I don't have work that weekend or something like that. Hopefully I can get my friend with the 280ZX to do his turbo swap and come to the meet along with me and my Legacy :smt023

only in washington can you have one shitty day and the next high of 70

99gtlimited
05-29-2009, 05:08 PM
it's at the point where even when it's shitty at some point in the day, at another time it's fucking great out. Yeah it does end up raining more than 200 days a year but i love when the rain clears everything out and the sun comes right back. mostly i'm just excited cause this is great baseball weather and i have a game on sunday!

I'd be up for a drive near Seattle on July 3rd. I also know a guy that drives an SS as well that I could probably get to come.

PM me if something happens as I'm not on the forum a lot, but I'll get the PM notification via e-mail. I'll try to keep track of this thread though.

Well given that I'm leaving late July for AZ (and of course I'll need to save as much money as possible betwen now and then), I think I'll sit out on any future meets until I get back from school. But hey, if you see a white BK with a huge ass dent in the front bumper and a set of JDM projectors in the greater Seattle area (usually around Kent/Auburn/Covington/etc.), that'd be me :smt004

But at least if all goes as planned, I should at least be able to get my suspension, brakes, and maybe even my transmission sorted by the time I get back. Hell, I may even have a turbo setup. Thus of course I would definitely be up for any meets I can afford to be in on by then :smt023

You should come Scott, it wouldn't cost much. We'll probably just go for a cruise and maybe get a bite to eat, $15 gas + $15 meal = $30.

Bohemian_Funk
06-03-2009, 02:18 AM
Well... I would, but without a job, even that much is hard to come by these days. Besides, I'm almost certain my family would prefer I be home for the last holiday before I move away for school. Sorry :-(

Oh HO!

See, now you're speaking my language. Hell, if it's near Auburn, I can think of tons of great driving roads nearby (I can help come up with a fairly lengthy list by the 3rd of July methinks ). And of course Flaming Guyser park could be a good place to meet/bbq/whateveh. I must admit, if I can get my friend Ryan to get his 280ZX in proper working order, turbo or not, I will probably not be driving the Leggy on most of the roads I speak of, as my suspension is in TERRIBLE condition (14 years old, 250k on the clock, and the front left strut is seeping fluid... boy I just love not having money to replace s@#$). Though if a challenge of sorts is brought up, I may be up for the task. Call it a handicap, if you will . I must warn, though, that the Auburn PD definitely does NOT appreciate racing; and if I get one more ticket, I will quite literally kill somebody (Can't get any more tickets, or I can't go to UTI :smt013).

Not to dig this one out of the grave, but anyone wanna come up with some kind of meet/drive soon? Airgne, have you ever driven chuckanut (SR 10)? One of the best roads I've ever driven on in my opinion(fun factor, not road quality), let me know if you want to check it out some time.
