The sunroof in my legacy is starting to leak and I have traced the culprit down to the seal around the glass. Is this a factory only item?

Has anyone installed one of these before?? Any suggestions besides a tube of caulk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is supposed to rain the next few days and the blue tarp looks tacky as hell.

Are 90-94 sunroofs the same? Will the SVX glass fit???

I'd say worse comes to worse see if you can get one from the dealership, chances are it won't be that expensive of a part, probably just a pain to put in. I have a similar problem with my BD's that there is a little maybe 1 cm gap in the backside of the weather striping the glass presses down in front of. Luckily I haven't had any leakage problems, but I've been told best bet is to go for OEM...if you can't find it off one at the junkyard, the dealership will be your best bet. I'll check with my guy by school, see what he can get, try to throw you a price on it if he can source one.

Thanks Penny Wise. The dealer wanted $300.00 for one because they say I have to buy the glass too. If anyone can find one in decent shape at a JY then I will gladly pay them for their time, the part, and shipping charges.

Thanks for looking out guys...

have you tried contacting a windshield/glass installer regarding your issues?

maybe they can use installation urethane sealant to cure your issues
rather than purchasing the entire section

however, if you do need to purchase something from the dealership
let me know and i'll get you the best price available.

hope this helps
