I take no responsibility for any issues that anyone may have as a result of doing these changes to their vehicle. I did the changes because I had a problem and I want to know it if could be fixed by replacing filament bulbs with LED's - and it was. Anyone choosing to follow the instructions below, does so at their own risk and any issues ocuring with their vehicles hereforth as a result of follwing these instructions are entirely their responsibility.

Now that I got that off my chest...here we go.

You will need...

One 8mm deep socket
One extension
One ratchet wrench
One set of LED bulbs (if you want to change only your corner housing - running/brake lights)
A warm & dry place to work
Paper towels & warm soap and water (to clean off all the accumulated gunk - you'll see what i mean)

Now to the photos:

You will find that the LED bulbs light up much, much faster than the OEM filament bulbs. This is why I got these. The outside bulbs were lighting up faster/earlier than the hatch-mounted ones. Now they both light up simultaneously.

Good luck!

I would be very tempted to do this but the back of my car is already rediculously bright. I also dont have those access hatches on my model and have to remove the entire trim to get the lights out

Wait, so these are just drop in replacements? You don't have to worry about resistors or anything?

Only if you do the turn signals, they will in most cases blink twice as fast or not at all.

There is not much diffrenece. The point is that they light up about half a second quicker than OEM Filiment bulbs and that should last about 5 times longer than filiment. Pretty much that last part is the main reason I'm doing mine on my 96 L Wagon.

Exactly. And there is a bit of difference when viewed from directly astern. They are a bit brighter but as stated above the best reason to do this is quicker lighting and longer life.
