different offset as a spare tire?

i just wanna know if its a good idea to have a
17x7.5 55offset wheels
and have a
17x7 55/53offset as a spare tire
or 17x7.5 53offset

don't know much about rims so just wanna ask around 1st
17x7 55offset(53?) seems to be common on 05-09LGT

You can use a diff offset tire as a SPARE... you will want to ensure that the wheel/tire combo actually fits.
The big issue will be the rolling diameter - this needs to match your other 4 wheels.
