I saw this in the weird Forester STX (or whatever it was called) at SEMA in 2000. Too bad they never did make it into production.

I would do some unforgivable things to have one of those under the hood of my BE.

Subaru of America is why. SPT had something good going, but just like always, SOA pulls the plug in order to save some bucks.

I swear, the 95-05 Subaru is the most unsupported-officially supported vehicle out there. Even the Toyota Matrix got a TRD bolt on supercharger that was warranted by the dealer!

Well, that just made my day.

See that's bullshit. I hate that. Imagine us the bastard children of subaru being able to keep up with our WRX and STi brothers without sourcing out a swap.

Well maybe us the BD/BG/BK would have to source out a swap, but still

I wonder whatever happened to that prototype :smt010 :smt010 :smt010 :smt010

I bet some of the people from SOA that read all these swap threads into older subaru's they must be thinking "damn that's some serious determinations!"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is some kind of a spinoff/offshoot of the Eaton roots-type supercharger which was INITIALLY planned to go on the Subaru Baja when it came out a long time ago. That would have given it about 215 horsepower.

Probably not much more than an idea at this point, especially since Subaru's going to be using a diesel powerplant soon. Turbocharging that thing should probably be cake...

It's a Turbo Diesel from the factory, just like the VW TDI's.

i seriously feel like crying knowing that i will never have one of those, that would make to my knowledge the best bolt on for a BE ever!

Modding your Subaru especially the ones who decide to do what SOA voted against is like a big eff you to them. I love Subaru, but boy oh boy do I hate SOA. I also agree and find it hard to believe that SOA does not know about the huge swapping phase that has been going on. I would like to know what their take is on it. What's that? My warranty is void? Oh that's ok, not only is my car over a decade old, but I do my own stunts anyway.

well it wouldn't really be a bolt on for the BE/BH's since none of them came with the scoop from the factory. Still, that is a nice looking setup, I wonder how much boost it's pushing.

it is sad. americans get fucked for cars when it come to the bad ass ones. shit just look at the diff in the wheel that were offerd other places(17's) and than look at what we get some bullshit snowflakes(16's).

oh if you want a supercharger for our BE/BH's Raptor Supercharger is a good idea to look at. you can get one for around 3k. this is a cheaper route for us ppl that cant do the turbo swap in our garage.
