I just recently purchased a 96 RS with the twin turbo, EJ20R. I have been looking on the internet to see if it is possible to take the JDM intake manifold from the EJ207 STI and see if it will mate up. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows where I can find a replacement for the restrictive intake let me know.

Nope. No point in doing it, and it wont work with the blumbing that runs across the top of the manifold for the TT stuff, and wouldn't bolt up to the heads.

And the intake manifold is not restrictive, you can make 400 HP with these manifolds (it has been done). If you want to do away with the restrictive turbo intakes, there's only one solution for that.

Good to know. What would you suggest for some mild performance gains on this car. I have looked into the intake and found something that Blitz makes and thats about it.

HKS - AVC-R for boost controll, Zerosports sequential controller for customising the crossover point, and a good 2.5 turbo back exhaust will net you some good performance gains, and improve the drivability of the car so much. If you want to go all out modding it like an STi with intercooler/turbo/ECU upgrades etc. etc. Convert to single turbo.

I've done the single conversion, and it just makes the car drive so much better it's amazing - BUT, it's really personal preference. Start off with the ZS controller, it will let you tweak how the TT system does it's thing
