FWD on fuse box

What does having the FWD on the fuse box mean? the reason I ask is because I know putting in a fuse there would make the car a FWD vehicle. The thing is I just bought a 1995 Legacy L, which means AWD comes optional. Car was listed as AWD so does having the FWD on fuse box mean that this is in fact an AWD drivetrain?

I would assume so, it is not actually in the fuse box but in the front left of engine compartment.

Insert fuse into FWD slot on passenger side of engine bay - bypasses rear wheels and the FWD light will illuminate on the dash.

1. Do not think this will save you gas.
2. This is a temp solution designed to allow the car to be towed with the rear wheels down a SHORT distance.
3. This is to enable the car to be driven to a repair shop in case you have an issue with the transmission transfer clutch packs giving out = torque bind.
4. This has been answered before, so search next time.
