So the transmission is back on and now i'm trying to bolt the drive plate bolts in.

There's a small gap between the drive plate and the torque converter, i don't know if that's normal or not, but when i try to thread a bolt in it seems the gap is causing the bolt not to go in straight.. Should those two be almost touching? Or is it by the force of torquing down the bolt that brings them together?

I can't seem to thread the bolt in straight because of the gap... any ideas? There's no possibility that the torque converter got pushed farther back in is there?

damn it...

so actually looks like the reason its not going in is because cross threaded the threads on that one tab on the torque converter... not sure what to do now.. other than try to tap/chase it..

the other 3 bolts are in... :smt022

ive had this problem before. try spin the bolt counterclockwise a turn then try to thread it in. thats what worked for me on the 4eat TC
