BE - driver side floor mat clip?

OK feel kinda stoopid asking this....

But the black plastic clip on the driver side of my '03 BE sedan no longer holds the floor mat in place. I think it has just worn out so it is easy for the floor mat to slide off of this and get up by the pedals. I find myself having to adjust the mat every couple of days so the gas doesn't get stuck, which doesn't bother me, but I did forget to warn my wife last time she drove the car....

So - thoughts on what to do about this?
- Order OEM replacement from Subie dealer? Any online recommendations?
- Buy generic aftermarket replacement (if they make such a thing)?
- Just zip tie mat in place?

Happens in my BD as well. Unlike you, it drive me nuts. I am on the verge of taking it out completely.

OK - so I guess this wasn't such an odd topic!

But I ask again - is there a good Subie dealership with online ordering and fair prices? I know where to go to order Mazda OEM stuff online, but got no clue about Subie. And too lazy to drive to my local stealership.

Honestly, I'd just run down to Home Depot, grab an alloy strap, hit it with some black paint, and bolt the floor mat to the strap.

Oh, and let me know when you sell the Leggy. :P

I think I still have mine, I don't use it. The clip actually tore a hole in my carpet :roll: if you want it, throw a couple of bucks for shipping it my way and it's yours.
