oil psi/ammeter gauge install

i just got an oil psi and ammeter gauge. im putting em on my carbon fiber pillar mount but i was wonderin how to have them both install and functioning properly. right now i have them mount but they dont actualy give me reading kjust light up and it looks stupid. Thanks in advance. oh btw i got a 99 subaru legacy l series.
