I'm not really an addict but it sounded good, right?

Ok. So I've been lurking here long enough that I should have probably already introduced myself. My name is Corey and I was recruited via newenglandsubarus.com from Reason. I'm also on legacygt.com which I pretty much visit daily. I'm in the Keene, NH area daily and work in Vermont.

To the car.... I have a 97 Spruce pearl Legacy GT with the ghastly 4EAT. It's pretty much my winter beater/ beater overall. I also have a 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe. Go ahead, make fun of me. I'm prepared. It's my fun summer car that sucks in the snow. That's pretty much the reason I bought the Subie.

Both car's are pretty much stock for now. I'm a poor college student so give me a break.

Anyway, without further beating around the bush, here's some pictures:

The interior in both cars have been cleaned since then. Just pics from when I first bought each of them.

Well, yes....and no. I'm really not sure what I'm doing, I never do.

I was somewhat hoping to get a 5spd and sell this one to my sister but I'm not so sure.

I'll most likely keep it and mod it somewhat. I'd like to paint the ground effects body color, fix the new rust starting at the end of the wheel wells, replace the front bumper, install JDM fogs, JDM headlamps w/ HIDS, and JDM tails. I'd like 35% tint. I'd also like an SPT intake (I already have an SPT cone filter).

I have a WRX exhaust that should be installed by the end of summer. I also have some EBC redstuff pads and brembo rotors to install. But the car really needs summer tires to fit my RS wheels I'm painting graphite now. The snowflakes will keep their winterforces and will be painted bronze. I've also been trying to persuade my buddy to sell me his RS seats but I'm not very successful.

My civic needs a new passenger side door (its dented). It also has some rust repair on one rear well that needs to be fixed before it's an issue. I'm planning on getting an AEM intake, an Apexi WS2 catback, Megan headers, eibach sportline springs (for lowering) and two KYB gr2 shocks for the rear to make a full set (I replaced the front struts already). 35% tint all around. I'd also like to find a set of projector headlamps that aren't ricey to host some HID's and some yellow tinted fogs. A lip for the front would be nice too. When the brakes wear down I plan to do a rear disk conversion (drums suck) and maybe a brembo big brake kit for the front with SS lines. Maybe a Type R shifknob and RSX seats.

Big dreams with a little budget but I'll get there someday. It's just hard to do these things when maintenance is the priority. All of my savings will be put towards Taxes and a timing belt for the honda. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Welcome Corey!

I don't get why you need a summer vehicle...if you're a poor college student wouldn't it be better to save what little money you have toward the maintenance of just one vehicle?

I should have added that. My family needed a third car so when one is being repaired or isn't available we have a secondary car to rely on. That's why I bought an auto Legacy since my mom refuses to learn to drive stick. I'm not super poor, just poor. But I realize I am very fortunate to have two vehicles. It's what I like to spend my money on. I'd rather buy a car and car parts than buy new clothes.

Anyway, I like both cars a lot and they both serve their own purpose. The civic gets 38 MPG on average....lets see the subie do that. LOL

I can relate to that!
