OBD reset times

So I went to get my 97 2.5 GT emissions tested and it failed because the MIL light wasn't coming on. I reset the ECU to see if that worked but eventually found out there was no bulb. Anyway, I went back in the get the emissions test and they come back to me saying their computer rejected my OBD because it had recently been reset and that I now need to put some miles on it before a retest. Any ideas on how far I should go, I am only looking to make one more trip in to the emissions station. Thanks.

it depends if you follow drive cycles 10 miles. normal driving 50-100mile. i tell people to drive on the highway about 20 miles then about 10 miles of lower then 55 crusie. 5-10mile of slower then 35 crusie

One moment - you said the bulb had been removed and then you pulled the OBD code for a bad o2 sensor - won't the EPA fail you for a bad O2 even though your MIL light is now working?

Or have you fixed the bad O2 already...

I replaced the bulb, then got it tested, it failed for the OBD rejection, then pulled the code afterwards. Sorry about the confusion. I have a replacement O2 sensor on the way and hopefully everything should be taken care of tomorrow. Thanks again.
