i wasnt sure where this went so i put it in general, but has anyone popped open the JDM headlights and switched the orientation of the lenses so that the cut off is on the drivers side instead of the passenger side?

The shield that creates the cutoff is cast into the projector frame, and cutting it would mess up the optics of the projector. The best thing to do is retrofit with a LH projector.

Edit: check out http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ and read start in the University section. You will learn the amazingness of an HID projector retrofit.

Here's mine: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13568 (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13568)\

You can do a basic retofit with e55 projectors and DDM ballasts and bulbs for about 200$. It is totally worth it IMO.
