Rear quarter panel Help

Does any know if it is difficult to replace the rear drivers, and Passengers rear quarter panel.
I have got rust right at at the back of the wheel well. I was wondering if it requires much to replace these.
I am thinking of purchasing some new panels getting them painted and slapping them on.

drilling out a ton of spot welds. have to remove the bumber, tail lights, rear panals, rear window. then you have to cut the skin on the c piller. tack weld the roof skin to the quarter. puddle weld all the spot welds holes. bondo and fill. paint with all this you need to make sure its all alllined right. lots of work. lots easier to cut out the rust. weld a patch panal in weres theres rust. and bondo over

what decke48 said. our cars werent really designed to just Remove and Replace the quarters :-( . my car had some pretty nasty rust holes in both quarters. i cut panels off my parts car and im in the middle of welding them in. it sucks but doable if you got the welder cutoff wheel, can paint and got the patience lol. oh and bondo lol.

You need quite a bit of knowledge with body work to take on a task like this one. You can't just slap it on and call it a day...it'll take days to finish something like this.

Mine has had the quarter replaced. It can be done but I'll tell you this. My friend who is the head manager at a high quality bodyshop owned by a dealership in Southern Illinois said to me that he was impressed that anybody could do the job as well as it was done on my car. If the manager of a body shop says it is difficult, its probably not a task for the average joe.

The wagon is getting some rust stopper/convertor slapped on it. It will at the least cover the rust and allow it to be painted over. It's not as bad as my BD has it, which is rusting from the inside out, that car would need metal work done.

takind the rubber trim out or the wheel well helps with this. the trim just holds dirt and water witch makes cancer(rust).
the quarter is a big jab in any bodyshop. take your time. u can just use part of the quarter instead of taking the hole side of the car appart. if you go this rout take your time and measure alot.
