My wifes 02 legacy has been having some problems as of late. This morning I drove it to Mc Donald's to get breakfast and the heater worked the whole way there but when I stopped at the drive thru the air from the vents started to go cold on me. It didn't warm up until I started to drive again. Two, It started to over heat on her while she was on her way to work.
She took it to the auto shop on post but they didn't do a great job but basically they said that the coolant reservoir was empty. So they added some water and sent her on her way. It didn't over heat on her drive home.
I know the coolant isn't bad because I have changed it not to long ago. Could it be a thermostat issue and if so how can I fix it? Her father is suggesting a radiator flush. What do you all think?
