A tinting question...

After I do my brakes next week I plan on getting 35% tints all around however one question I have is since I'm a Amateur radio user I would be using a through the glass antenna due to the fact that I can't really fit the antenna with the tight space with the closing of the rear gate.

Anyways my question is can they tint around the antenna? or do they have to remove it? or can I cut a part of the tint out (about a 2 inch square box) myself?

Remove it, and reinstall it. Your tint will look and seal much better.

the problem is that the tint is going to effect my signal because the layers of it so I can't just stick it on.

they have a NMO mount but I'm not drilling in my roof... plus the window mount is not as tall so I can go in the underground parking area without bending the antenna.

If I have no other option I'd just have to cut the tint to the window mount.

if you get ceramic tint it will not affect your signal strength, only metallic tints will

Sounds $$$$ since I will be getting all but the front windshield tinted.
